How to Saber a Bottle of Champagne:

1. Chill the neck of the champagne bottle with ice for 10 minutes. Leave the cork in place while chilling.

2. Remove all foil and wire cage from the bottle.

3. Locate the seam that runs to the rim of the bottle.

4. Hold the bottle with your non-dominant hand at a 30-degree angle, then place your thumb in the hollow of the bottle. The neck of the bottle should be angled outwards.

5. Place the blade flat against the glass along the seam.

6. With a quick motion, slide the blade along the seam of the bottle, strike the lip, and continue.

7. The cork and lip will separate from the neck of the bottle. 8. Celebrate!
